Family Fun ~ Sandpoint Family Photographer

Good Morning!  Oh my goodness…..sit down…no seriously SIT DOWN!  You just might faint….a BLOG POST!!!  WAHOO!!!   I have finally decided to start blogging again!  Not that I need another project on my plate….but seriously it is a crime for me not to share more images from my sessions!  And I miss blogging and sharing in the fun I get to have with my clients!

I thought I would start out with a session from last fall to show more images from the September Sandpoint Living Local cover photo!   I have been photographing this awesome family since their littlest was in mommy’s tummy!  And….mom just happens to be my favorite hair dresser!  The best in North Idaho!  I mean THE BEST!  She can work voodoo magic on my crazy hair and I love it….which is no easy task.  Climbing Mt Everest might be easier than styling my hair, that is how impossible it is!   And I am probably her biggest nit pick client…but she ALWAYS pulls off something great!  If you are needing an amazing hair stylist, be sure to get ahold of Kristy at Sand Creek Salon located in Sandpoint!

Before we get to the main attraction……I want to chat a quick minute about styling your session.  When mom told me she wanted browns, reds, jeans, and……wait for it…..LEOPARD!  I couldn’t believe it!  She is SO BRAVE!  But if you know me, I am one of those stand in the background admirers of people with fashion…because I have NONE.  When it comes to clothes, jeans and a t-shirt baby….that’s how I roll.  But I wish I had better fashion!  So I trusted her…not only because I really admire her everyday fashion, but after all these are HER family photos and she knows what she likes.  And holy cow…when I showed up to take pictures I was blown away.  Her color combo ROCKED.  I LOVED it!  I loved it so much that I used it for inspiration for my own family photos this year!  😀  When planning your family photo session with me, it is always great to get on my “What to Wear” pinterest board for ideas on styling your session.  You can find great color combos on what to where and how to mix and match outfits so they don’t feel stuffy and uniform.  And it also helps to consider the location we will be shooting at while creating your color combos!

OK….let’s get down to business…it’s PHOTO TIME!  😉

I had so many favorites….I just loved the entire session….but I was able to narrow it down to some favorites!

And my favorite little clown……I just LOVE her!  I love making connections with every single one of my clients….but I must say that there is something so special about getting to photograph them from the time they were in mom’s belly, and every year after getting to watch them grow up!   It just makes my heart pitter patter with love!  Little goofball.
